In recent years, Shuyang has focused deeply on cross-border e-commerce, treating it as a core engine for upgrading an open economy. The county has continued strengthening its industrial foundation and improving its development ecosystem. In 2025, Shuyang had 389 companies with actual foreign trade performance and total imports and exports of USD 1.675 billion. Its online cross-border e-commerce transaction volume exceeded RMB 1.38 billion, up 94.37% year on year, and a group of leading companies with annual sales of tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of yuan has emerged. Cross-border e-commerce has become a powerful growth driver for high-quality county-level economic development.

As the global trade landscape accelerates its restructuring and the digital and real economies become more deeply integrated, cross-border e-commerce has become a key track for traditional companies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, reach global markets directly, break through domestic competition, and build a second growth curve. In his remarks, Ding Xunzheng, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Shuyang Economic Development Zone, said Shuyang will use the summit as a bridge to continue improving its cross-border e-commerce ecosystem, implement support policies, build resource platforms, remove development bottlenecks, and create an optimal environment for cross-border e-commerce. These efforts will help Shuyang manufacturing and Chinese manufacturing sail overseas and gain global recognition.

Yang candidly described himself as a three-no founder: no foreign-language foundation, no foreign-trade capability, and no e-commerce experience. Six years ago, SEPPES Doors was still a traditional industrial and trading company focused on the domestic market. Facing intensifying domestic competition, Yang decisively chose the cross-border e-commerce track and formed a deep partnership with Alibaba.com to begin brand globalization. With a core strategy of mid- to high-end positioning and brand-led development, SEPPES Doors built on quality and innovation, led an AI-enabled digital global expansion path of being rooted in China and serving the world, and focused on intelligent solutions to overtake on a new track. The company successfully broke through traditional foreign trade barriers and now exports to more than 80 countries and regions.

In his presentation, Yang systematically explained the key steps behind the brand's journey from startup to global presence: precise market positioning in the high-end industrial door niche; stronger brand layout supported by international certifications such as CE and UL; professional team building and incentive-based compensation to activate internal momentum; and quality leadership, with products covered by RMB 15 million insurance from PICC and supported by global warranty service. These targeted measures have driven rapid growth at SEPPES Doors. In fiscal year 2025, foreign trade exports increased by more than 129% year on year. One in every seven Fortune Global 500 companies has chosen SEPPES. The company has also won honors including the Cross-Border E-Commerce Global Trade Gold Award and a national Top 10 Digital Foreign Trade True Niu Award, becoming a benchmark for high-quality global expansion by Chinese intelligent manufacturing companies.

Going global as a brand is not an optional choice; it is a required course for traditional manufacturers seeking to break through growth bottlenecks, Yang said. His open sharing covered platform selection, overseas customer acquisition, supply chain optimization, and brand promotion, offering participants a practical methodology for addressing global expansion pain points and earning strong applause from the audience.
